“In our office, we are passionate about helping people to protect their assets from taxes, lawsuits, relatives, nursing home costs — anything that threatens their savings and property,” Kimberly says. “We also help people to arrange their affairs so that they will avoid emotional pain and family fights in leaving their wealth to their heirs, and pay the least possible amount in taxes and fees.”
Kimberly maintains the highest level of knowledge and expertise through ongoing continuing education and frequent attendance at nationally recognized conferences on most current information on Medi-Cal Planning techniques, advanced planning concepts, strategies and changes in the law. Kimberly is also a lecturer on cash management and estate preservation strategies for classes held through the College of the Desert, and a speaker for seminars on the subjects of estate planning and Medi-Cal eligibility. Kimberly serves on the Board of Directors for the Desert Estate Planning Council, the Advisory Board for the American Cancer Society, and is a volunteer mediator for Volunteer Settlement Conference program at the Riverside County Superior Court in Indio.
After earning her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of La Verne with the highest honor, Kimberly served as a law clerk at the California Supreme Court. Since her service with the Court, Kimberly has been active in her law practice which focuses on wealth preservation strategies, Medi-Cal Planning, estate planning, wills, trusts, and trust and probate administration. Kimberly is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys; Wealth Counsel; the Probate and Trusts Sections of the California and American Bar Associations; and the Probate Committee of the Desert Bar Association. She is licensed to practice law in all courts in California, the United States Tax Court, the United States District Court for the Central District, and the United States Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
“Just as important as our legal competence is our client service,” says Kimberly. “We know that an attorney’s office can be a bit frightening and we go out of our way to create a warm, family atmosphere. We strive always to exemplify the Golden Rule and to treat our clients as we would like to be treated ourselves. We genuinely care about our clients, and our attitude reflects that.”
